Take the First Step to Becoming a Treatment Foster Care Parent

What Is Treatment Foster Care?

Some adolescents in foster care have exceptional needs that require specialized support from a qualified, trained, and licensed Treatment Foster Care, or TFC, parent. Treatment Foster Care utilizes trauma-informed and strengths-based training to help provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for foster youth with behavioral, emotional, or medical needs. TFC provides stable, healthy, and family-oriented homes where adolescents receive the proper care they need while waiting to be successfully reunited with their biological families.

Who Needs Treatment Foster Care?

TFC is for youth who require support beyond what traditional foster care can give. RISE Services, Inc. Idaho TFC parents are trained and licensed to offer differently-abled adolescents individualized support crucial to their specialized needs. Our TFC case managers are well-versed in helping foster parents find the most effective resources to care for and support the treatment foster youth in their homes.
