Nominations for Commitment to Community Awards Now Open!

Commitment to Community Awards

Now in its 8th year, the Commitment to Community Awards recognize and honor the significant accomplishments of our nominees. This event applauds their commitment and provides visibility and recognition for their leadership and vision.

The Western Partnerships Conference seeks nominations to recognize individuals, organizations or businesses that demonstrate three or more of the following criteria:

  • Inspires others to get involved, takes responsibility, or assumes leadership to make positive changes for individuals with disabilities
  • Welcomes diversity of ability, age and culture
  • Encourages and educates others to the value of supporting and respecting individuals with disabilities
  • Impacts the lives of others through positive actions
  • Is a proven leader who collaborates well with other groups
  • Seeks to accommodate and include all community members

The Building Bridges award recognizes a candidate that understands the value of inclusiveness in a community and works to enhance the individual perspectives and contributions of all community members.

The Opening Doors award recognizes a candidate who has been instrumental in increasing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to access their community.

The Plays Well with Others award honors a candidate who has shown outstanding leadership by bringing together community partners to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities.

The Lifetime Achievement award honors nominees for their lifetime contribution to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities. The nominees embrace the values of inclusion, collaboration and advocacy.

To nominate an individual, organization or business who makes a significant and outstanding contribution toward advocating for and enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities, please complete an online nomination form at https://westernpchs.com/c2c-awards-2019/. Deadline for submission is September 30, 2019.

Awards will be handed out at the Commitment to Community Awards luncheon in conjunction with the Western Partnerships Conference on Human Services Friday, November 8th at the Boise Centre on the Grove.
