Idaho’s New Health and Welfare Director
As Governor Little takes the reigns from former Governor Butch Otter he is making some changes in his cabinet.
Little has named Dave Jeppesen as new director for the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, the state’s single largest agency.
Jeppesen has been with Blue Cross of Idaho for the past six and a half years, most recently serving as executive vice president and chief strategy and innovation officer. He also has had a long career in banking.
Jeppesen holds a master’s degree in statistics from Ohio State University; a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and statistics from Idaho State University; and an A.A. degree in math from Ricks College.
Jeppesen will take a crucial role in how Idaho meets the people’s mandate to expand Medicaid.
